meet the saturday vibe team
Sohan: Creator and Lead Host
A long-time aspiring radio presenter, Sohan is the creator and lead host of Saturday Vibe. She is currently studying Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney and aims to pursue a career in the media industry, wherein her passion lies in radio producing and presenting.
Sohan's experience in radio began towards the end of 2003, age 11, when she was invited as a guest on the Saturday Night Safari show on Triple H FM through a friend. It wasn't long before she decided she was there to stay, and was a member of the station within a couple of weeks. It wasn't until Sohan turned 14 when herself and the other show members became more serious about their previous Saturday night hobby. By the age of 15, Sohan was certain that radio presenting and producing was what she enjoyed the most and wanted to continue.
In May 2009, Sohan left her previous group to launch her very own show, which is now Saturday Vibe. Many skills acquired through work experience at 2DayFM, open program short courses at AFTRS and years of presenting helped her to create such a successful show.
Sohan adores listening to music, and having studied it during high school, she enjoys writing her own songs. She plays piano, guitar and trombone. Her favourite singer since age 10 is Delta Goodrem and Sohan remains a loyal fan - "despite all the crap I get for it!" Never able to turn down a shopping spree, another of her passions is fashion, especially jewellery and dresses. Always seen with a smile on her face, Sohan's energy is never-ending - appropriate for the "vibe" created on Saturday Vibe.
Having built a fanbase of over 1,200 "vibers", Sohan continues to enjoy presenting, producing and promoting her show. "The best thing about radio is the ability to connect with and talk to the listeners. That's what keeps the show's drive. Listeners never fail to put a smile on my face - whether they relate positive or negative feedback, it's great to know they're actually taking their time out to listen to what I've created."

Drew: Co-Host
Sup guys, I'm Drew :D. I'm from Newcastle (three hours away) and take a fantastical journey to Sydney every saturday to do the show. And by fantastical journey, I mean train ride. I do the entertainment section of the show, and will fill in for Chris when he's out on some other magical adventure.
I'll be reporting on heaps of stuff to do with the entertainment world, from awards, to new singles, and the various troubles, blunders, and lawsuits that seem to follow all the celebs these days. Hillarity on live radio ensues.
I'm into every kind of music EVER, other than screamo and country and western, both of which I hate with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. If I had to pick pick some favourite artists, of the top of my head I would say Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas and David Bowie.
This is gonna be my first time on a live radio show, so tell me just how good (or horribly! :P) I'm going!
PS. I love monkeys.

Looking back on a life of sport so far, the highlight for Matt would be attending the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010. "It was an unforgettable experience to see how football unites the community. Everywhere you went people from all different nations were interacting over their love of the world game." Whilst in South Africa for the World Cup, Matt also did some live reporting for SBS Radio at a couple of the matches that he attended.
