Delicious.

Sohan likes her energy drinks almost as much as I like informing her what's actually in it; taurine. Or, as I like to call it, a bull's stomach lining. The food industry calls a lot of nasty ingredients nice, ambiguous names, and there's a lot of gribbly things in foods and drinks that are hiding from us in plain sight. Take, for example, "Natural colours and flavouring". Now, we'll instantly assume that the "natural colours and flavours" in, say, tomato soup, are tomatoes. This could very well be true (and probably is), but it doesn't have to be; "natural" colours and flavours pretty much means that it comes from nature- that tomato soup's colour could come pig's blood and ground up orphans, and they could just slam it under "natural colouring" and get away with it. Maybe not the orphan part, but you get the idea.

One 'natural' red food colour, Carmine, is made, quite literally, from ground-up cochineal insects, which is the smart person way of saying mashed up red beetles. Now isn't that just delightful! Here's another fun fact about how some beetles transformed into what you may be eating right now; these innocent, little beetles are killed by being baked or drowned in hot water and then left out to dry. Because the abdomen region that houses the beetle's fertilized eggs contains the most carmine, it is separated from the rest of the body, ground into a powder and cooked at high temperatures to extract the maximum amount of colour. Fun, fun, fun, fun.

Sit. Somewhere. Else.

I was on the train down to the studio, and, being the rebellious young hooligan I am, decided to put my legs up on the seat in front of me, and write a nice segment about how much I dislike teachers. Everything was so damn simple; I had my laptop on my lap, a bag next to me, and I was ready to face the world. Until, of course, some woman decides to ask me if she can turn my footrest around, and take a seat in front of me. Being the fool that I am, I accepted; it was only a few minutes later, that there were nine empty seats in the top level of the carriage, and right next to us, literally a metre away, were two empty seats, facing each other, that she easily could have taken. Why, then, did she choose me. Was the seat more tantalising? Was she attracted to the smell of the fruit jubes I was eating? I don't know. Maybe I'll never know. But one question still resonates in my mind; WHY do people do this? Why go through with such madness?
The same thing happens to me on buses, or in theatres; old people sit next to you when there are literally hundreds of seats to choose from. It’s madness.
Sheer.
Madness.

Save Your Passwords!

We've talked so many times about how technology is getting bigger and better and could possibly be getting the better of us.

But what people have been saying recently is quite interesting when you think about the importance of technology.

Back in the day we would store all our photos in a massive album tucked away in a cupboard. Now, we store them on Facebook or photo sharing websites like Flickr. Back in the day we would store music in a nice CD or record stand or box, sorted by artist or album. Now it’s all on our computers in iTunes, or stored online. We used to store our DVDs and movies in cases next to the TV, but now... we just download them and leave them in a folder on our computers.

So what is the problem with this, everyone says? Pretty much, once one passes away, no one has access to these sometimes treasured possessions. It’s called "digital inheritance".

It has been brought up by a law firm in the UK that it is encouraged to leave passwords to all of these things in your will, so that you can kind of "pass them on" once you pass away.

What do you think?

It's a bit shocking to the system because something as traditional as will is being linked to something so modern like technology and social networking.

A rep from the law firm said: "People have not yet come to grips with the value of these digital possessions and the risk is that they may be lost if the owner dies, or even that their estate may be liable for ongoing subscriptions to online magazines or newspapers."

Procrastinating Tips

Everyone at uni has assignments, everyone at school has exams and the year 12s have their HSC soon. So instead of making your life easier, I’m going to give you some tips to make you temporarily happy and kind of relieve the pain for about 15 mins while you procrastinate.

EmotionalBagCheck.com
Probably the best website ever. People submit their emotional baggage stories and you recommend a song for them to listen to. It's completely anonymous. You get some really sad stories. You get the weird ones like, "I ate too much and now I feel gross." And you basically find a song that fits their situation and send the name and artist to them. If you're feeling crappy about exams or assignments you can probably submit your own baggage online too.

Tumblr
Seriously, if you want to waste time, get one of these. I've spent ages just looking through all the lovely pictures and reblogging. You can even come across some hilarious stuff on their.

Buy magazines.
It has been the absolute best thing to procrastinate with. And as well as this, if you buy fashion magazines you end up spending more money because you see nice things in their to buy! It’s really nice to chill out and read a magazine rather than going on facebook.

Speaking of facebook, the last suggestion is:

Facebook.
What better way to go online and see what your friends are up to. While you're at it, like us on Facebook.

Fat Tax

Okay so there's apparently been a lot of speculation about this thing called a fat tax. It sounds great, you make fattening foods more expensive so if one is tight for money, the healthy option is easier to go for. And as a result the population will become thinner because they are eating healthier.

Well who would have thought it would actually turn into a reality?

The Danish actually introduced this fat tax FOR REAL just last week. So they've upped the price of anything that contains more than 2.3% of saturated fat. This means that things such as butter and cheese have gone up by about 50 cents. This applies to everything - the food at those fast food chains, and at restaurants.

The whole aim of this is to increase the life span of the Danish. Now the whole idea was not so popular to the general public. Especially those within the food industry, and you can understand why - they are all expecting diminished revenues due to the up in prices.

But 90% of the Danish parliament did agree to this fat tax. What do you guys think? How would you feel if this was implemented in Australia? Bob Brown, leader of the greens has actually made a call to consider this measure. Do you think it would work?

Real Shopping vs Online Shopping

I have been so addicted to online shopping recently.

Mainly because it's so easy. Like you wake up on a lazy Sunday, still in your PJs. Head online and have a look at new stock from online stores. Some of them even have free shipping. You add items to your cart, all that are on sale. And within half an hour, you're $150 poorer and you've got 3 new outfits in the mail for you from the US.

It's addictive.

And all you guys who are thinking THIS IS SO BORING TO READ. It's actually applicable to you too!

I was shopping with a friend the other day and he really wants this type of long-sleeved shirt. He found the perfect one, loved it, looked great, everything was amazing... except the price tag.

It was one hundred dollars.

And it was so not worth that much money.

So I get home, have a look online, and find pretty much the same thing from the US for like, 30 bucks. Ummm, which one will I choose?

Obviously the cheaper one – the only difference is that it will take 2 weeks to get to him.

But what I'm trying to figure out. Is online shopping bad for us? Is it TOO easy? It's right in the comfort of your own home, as soon as pay day comes a long you can basically spend all your money straight away. And is it really that much better? In real stores you can actually have a chance to try things on, put outfits together. And if it's too expensive you can put it on lay-by. You can get a refund without paying for postage.

What do you think? Let us know, leave a comment!

Facebook the new Stalkbook?

SO I LOGGED ONTO FACEBOOK THE OTHER DAY... To find all these weird changes.

The chat sidebar was divided into a live feed and the chat window. The main feed was divided into top news and most recent news. And I had all these weird categories on the left.

I can now subscribe to view ALL my friends; updates, their MOST IMPORTANT ones or MOST Of them, which is a bit confusing. I subscribed to a couple of close buddies. Now I can see what they post on other peoples' walls WHO I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

And the live feed on the side is weird. It's like the Facebook people thought, OH DO YOU LIKE FACEBOOKING? WELL WE ADDED A FACEBOOK FEED SIDEBAR SO YOU CAN FACEBOOK WHILE YOU FACEBOOK!

It has provided some enlightenment though. Some people who I had kinda forgot about have popped up on the feed. And I didn't know they were such active users of Facebook!

But I think the major point of the change has been to evolve Facebook so it's easier to... stalk people. And I use the word "stalk" very lightly.

Now I don't have to go to someone's profile and look at what they've been up to, it's right in my face on the feed!

What do you guys think - is Facebook the new Stalkbook? Do you love the change, or hate it?

Norway Attack - Text Messages Between Mother and Daughter

"For almost an hour and a half, as Behring Breivik stalked the Utoya island, mortally wounding at least 68 people, Marianne Bremnes in Harstad, Norway, 800 miles away, exchanged news, words of comfort and potentially lifesaving information every five minutes by SMS text with her 16-year-old daughter Julie, who was attending a youth camp on the island for members of the Labour Party. Julie was unharmed but lost five friends in the shooting."

Julie: Mum, tell the police to hurry. People are dying here!

Marianne: I am working on it, Julie. The police are on their way. Do you Dare give me a call?

Julie: No.

Julie: Tell the police that a madman is running around shooting people.

Julie: They have to hurry!

Marianne: The police know about it and they have received many messages. It is going to be fine, Julie. The police are calling us now. Give us a sign of life every fifth minute, please?

Julie: OK

Julie: We are in fear of our lives!

Marianne: I understand that well, my love. Stay under cover, don't move to another place! The police are already on their way, if they have not already arrived. Do you see injured or killed?

Julie: We are hiding in the rocks along the coast.

Marianne: Good! Should I ask your grandpa to come and pick you up when everything is safe? It is your choice.

Julie: Yes

Marianne: We are contacting grandpa right away.

Julie: I love you, even though I may yell at you sometimes.

Julie: And I am not panicking, even though I'm s--- scared.

Marianne: I know that, my girl. We love you very much too. Do you still hear shooting?

Julie: No.

Marianne: Have you heard anything of the others from Tromsoe? Grandpa is on his way down.

Julie: The police are here.

Marianne: The person shooting apparently wear a police uniform. Be careful! What is happening to you now?

Julie: We don't know.

Marianne: Can you talk now?

Julie: No.

Julie: He's still shooting!

Marianne: Joergen has swum to shore. I have just spoken to his father.

Marianne: This is all over national news now, full attention on Utoya now. Be careful! When you get the chance, you get back to the mainland and meet grandpa from Hamar.

Julie: I am still alive.

Marianne: Thank God for that.

Julie: We are waiting for the police to pick us up.

Julie: We heard shooting just now, so we dared not walk there.

Marianne: Good! The evacuation is going on now, they're saying on TV.

Julie: We hope someone will pick you up soon. Can't they catch him soon?!!

Marianne: The anti-terror police is there, and they are working on getting him.

Marianne: Should we try to get a flight ticket home tomorrow?

Julie: I've no time to think about that now.

Marianne: I understand.

Julie: Do you know if they've got him?

Marianne: I'll keep you posted, my girl. We're following the TV constantly.

Marianne: Hey, are you there?

Julie: Yes. The helicopters are circling over us.

Marianne: Then you have been spotted?

Julie: They are looking for people in the water, they haven't picked us up yet!

Julie: What's on the news?

Marianne: The police are also on a boat to Utoya, otherwise nothing new. It is not clear what happened to the gunman, so you stay still. Wait for someone to pick you up.

Marianne: Now they've got him!

fur fashion a no no?

Recently in the news you may have heard about dog fur being used for fashion items.

When it comes to fur, some people will wear the real stuff. But not many people have heard of dog fur being used for clothes before!

Some major retailers have withdrawn fur products as soon as they found out the items were made from dog, rabbit and raccoon fur.

Personally, I'm not a fan of fur fashion. The big fur coats and scarves – I don't really think they look very good. When it comes to REAL fur being used, I am against it! Firstly, we don't need fur to stay warm. We have wool. And cotton. And other material. Secondly, say if you're unlike me and you actually LIKE the fur look, YOU CAN USE FAKE FUR! Why cause for animals to be skinned alive and slaughtered just so you can wear their fur?

I was impressed when I heard that retailers are refusing to sell real fur when those products popped up in their designer collections. The retailers didn't even realise they were selling REAL fur until they were alerted. They say these retailers are victims, as there isn't any law in Australia that says you HAVE to disclose the kind of fur in materials.

But I wanna know what all you guys think – fur or no fur? Are you strong advocate for animal rights? Do you LOVE the fur look and think it should continue? Do you not really care? Let us know! Comment us on Facebook, drop us an email or text us on 0405 404 500.

lady gaga not as original as she appears

Lady Gaga preaches originality. Some artists are being copied by gaga!

Grace Jones, Roisin Murphy and Dale Bozzio all had their own special little things, that were then copied by GaGa.

OK, Roisin Murphy: Rσisνn Marie Murphy (Irish pronunciation: [roːˈʃʲiːnʲ], English: /roʊˈʃiːn/; born 5 July 1973) is an Irish singer-songwriter and record producer, known for her electronic style. Note the lobster head.

Dale Bozzio: Dale Bozzio (b. 1955) is an American musician and new wave singer. She became famous as the lead singer for the 1980s pop/new wave band Missing Persons. She was 30 years before gaga.

Now, these may be coincidences, but the real stickler is Grace Jones. Grace was the big thing in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, and was the original crazy thang in music; mixing high fashion and singing, using crazy headpieces, skimpy, bizarre dresses and the like. Not only did she dress crazy, but acted crazy, too, regularly getting smashed at clubs, and hanging out with famous artists of the times. Not only was Grace Jones a singer, but also a model and an actress Sound familiar? Thought so.

I actually compiled a whole folder of gaga and grace look alikes.

Now, This isn’t a coincidence. GaGa has named her as one of her biggest influences, and even asked Grace Jones to collaborate with her. When asked about it, Grace actually said: "I'd just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually."

What do you guys think of this? Is GaGa copying these people? Is it ok that she is? Should she keep on saying how 'original' she is?

the illuminati conspiracy theory

You may wonder what the illuminati is. You may have heard of it or rumours about it. There are theories that this group secretly runs the world and controls government and media. It is rumoured to be a secret elite group that does in fact have control, or is attempting to gain control of the world.

The belief of the illuminati's existence varies however, meaning there isn't any solid proof of its existence. There are many theories about it's power.

The illuminati's alleged plan is world domination, also known as "new world order" for their lord. Most believe their "lord" is the devil.

According to the conspiracy, the illuminati are the driving force behind efforts that want to brainwash society through thought control and manipulation of beliefs. They do this through the press, pop culture, and politics. I've got a bunch of examples for you.

Firstly, the all-seeing eye. It's a symbol of a triangle with one eye in the middle of it. You have most likely seen it in many video clips of artists. It represents the devil's eye and how he is always watching. Creepy hey?

Lady Gaga often poses with one eye covered or closed. This is meant to represent the all-seeing eye.

Secondly, have you seen Rihanna's video clip, Umbrella? Theres one scene at the start where it's an image of Rihanna doing cool acrobat ninja things showing off her legs in side a triangle frame. It flashes in and out of inverted black and white very quickly. If you freeze the frame at a particular point, there is a scary image showing.

Some doctor surgery guy analysed the photo and proved that it had been digitally edited. He brings attention to certain bones coming out of Rihanna's skin, their distance to one another, and that it's not possible for them to be composed in that way, therefore saying it's been edited. And why has it been edited? For the illuminati to send their message. And the image is very scary. It has been made to look like the devil's face.

Thirdly, you always hear lyrics in songs where rappers say that the rainman is going to "make it rain." Apparently this is also a subliminal message sent by the illuminati. Rainman is meant to refer to the devil, and when he makes it rain, it is meant to mean that if you "sell your soul to the devil" he will give you what you want, like women, money, fame, fortune etc. Rappers like Eminem always say in their lyrics that they have sold their soul to the devil.

I could go on about this forever. When you pull all these things together, it does pose a likelihood that the illuminati exists. However you can always take a step back and look at it and think... nah, too far fetched.

What do you think? Does the illuminati exist?

Do We Have A Chance At Finding Extra Terrestrial Life?

Sometimes I wonder whether we’re alone.. I’ve had a few sightings in my time but have you?

One when I was on a farm and slept away from the house, in a caravan with my cousins. Bright flashing lights that ran through the colour spectrum at a speed be known to me. I sat there for several minutes watching this masterpiece finish its spinning, and then ran to the house and did not step back outside until the morning.

No one else saw anything!?

Which brings me to the questions on how you would react..so, if some green thing approached you when you were driving in the dark on the road, what would your initial reaction be?

I’d probably do a 360 and leave, but who knows, they might probe me and do bad things for leaving them! In all honesty I’d probably die in my marks, because I wouldn’t know what to do or what they have planned to do.

The lack of evidence proving the existence of aliens is known as the ‘great silence’. We’ve been conversing outside of earth for years, the Hubble telescope which beams out hundreds of messages to outside earth – thanks biology!
New evidence is beginning to emerge suggesting there has been no confirmation of life beyond our planet. If there is something out there, I thought our blue sphere would entice them to come and say hi. Obviously not.

In space thousands of reactions happen, if not, millions and billions..We’re a big universe.

A phenomenon known as the white dwarf hypernova – this is when two collapsing dwarf stars merge to cause a supernova, but because they merge, it becomes more powerful
Could it practically wipe out life that we’re trying to find?

This process happens regularly, and is exceptionally large, the collapsing of an elderly star also becomes unstable and explodes – there’s many pathways of life being taken away.

It’s been said that Planet Earth can be wiped out too, but what’s the odds of this happening? No one knows, not even scientists, it could hit us any second of the day
If you’ve had sightings or an interesting story, fire away.

Stories about aliens really intrigues me, and I want to build my knowledge on them! Text your story to 0405 404 500, or even jump on our Facebook page and tell us there
I might just as well read it on air!!

Abbreviations are not words

Guys. This is not a joke.

OMG, LOL, BFF, FYI and Muffin Top have just been added to the Oxford English Dictionary.

I thought the dictionary was a place which defines words? These new additions are simply abbreviations that people tend not to speak in real life conversations.

Is this a mockery of the English language? Or are technology terms becoming a new language within itself?

Bullying - where do you draw the line?

There are many lessons to be learnt in life, do unto others as they would unto you. It was the moment that shocked the whole damn nation and I knew nothing until I got on facebook at uni.

In a long story cut short, Casey, a teenager who was abused physically and mentally at a school in Sydney, turned the tables big time when his tormentor thought it would be a great idea to use him as a punching bag.

Look first of all if you’re using someone as a punching bag without their permission, or just punching them at all it raises questions because really you shouldn’t be punching people in the first place. The bully punches him in the face, then in the stomach – and to make the situation even more unfortunate there’s a crowd of people standing their laughing and promotion more abuse and violence.

What gets me these days is that people stand there watching – but do you really want to get involved? A school environment is different in many ways, and depending whether you’re at a co-head school or a same-sex school may determine how you go about it. Compare it to school, then on the street. Different isn't it?

Generally if you intervene, you also run risk of being punished - it may not be there and then, but it sometimes does happen afterwards.

Now you can only take so much from a kid that’s bullying you, and schools should have proper rules in place for this kind of stuff, surely there was a member of staff walking somewhere that would have seen it?

For a student to turn around and say I’ve had enough, spin the bully around 360 degrees and slam him onto the ground to me says you have to draw the line at some point. As I said earlier, you treat people how you want to be treated, and becoming a sensation on YouTube and Facebook pages with overwhelming support speaks for itself
Parents have written in support of the teenager, because schools lack authority and don’t show their concern.

I can speak for it, and what they do has no relevance. But how can both students be suspended? Is it because the school doesn’t want to degrade their reputation and come out bigger than what it was originally?

If you watch it closely Casey backs off and is acting calm to defer anything happening, but when you’re taking all that crap sometimes it’s time to stand up for yourself. I don’t condone aggressive behaviour and physical contact to solve problems.

It’ll be interesting to see the outcome of this investigation the school’s taking part in to be honest, because you’ll find that there will be a big public outcry but I want to hear your opinions – have you been bullied, been the bully, or both?

Because sometimes the innocent, who was bullied, can turn around to become the bully to make up the years they were overridden – hit us up on facebook or send us a text because there’s an ongoing issue with bullying and it’s a horrible thing to go through.

Do schools ask too much from its students?

Remember the days of school when you had the set hours of 9 - 3 and you'd be cursing the alarm each time it rudely interrupted your sleep at 7am?

Well in high school, depending what time you would go to bed, would somewhat determine how you would rise to the sunshine. It probably wasn't a good idea going to bed in the early hours of the morning as you'd miss out on a lot on sleep and it would affect performance.

This leads to the current situation regarding schools, do they simply ask too much? When will the schooling system understand that in certain situations depending upon your school, it chews through social time which is vital, or even sleeping time for that matter?

There's hundreds of paths to get into industries and professions and it's time that parents, teachers and schools began to understand. Parents who push their kids to study what they think is best for them is simply morally wrong, it de-motivates their ambitions and can bring signs of depression.

The US has begun to understand that sleep is much more important than battling with your brain with knowledge, and have linked better sleeping with a better life. Gone are the days of "there's only one perception for that magical path and that's what you're going to do".

At current there’s a student out there in the newspapers lately that gave up his sporting activities because he was concerned with the competition of schools, there was no chance he’d get into understanding medicine

Some stress might be exciting, but he said “the path you take is something that you want, not another person’s – just because you took Harvard, Sydney Uni or NSW, doesn’t mean that it becomes the same of somebody else".

At school I’d watch students be punished with not doing homework and at times I’d ask (this was to those demeaning teachers out there) if they had lives out of curiosity, watching them put pain and pressure on those who were struggling.

Is it really worth stressing over hours of homework even though you covered it in class?
Reinforcement is good but I think teachers should be mindful there’s a limit in homework when you have to balance social life and schooling work!

Mainstream Music... Where it REALLY comes from

They're beautiful and talented musicians. Hang on, talented? Sure, in some ways. But the music of current pop/dance mainstream is not all original. We listen to songs like "On the Floor" by J Lo and Pitbull and think, "woah, that's awesome." But the melodies and rhythms of today's pop has been ripped off from the talented composers of the 80s.

It's not necessarily a bad thing - after all, they're just getting ideas from the past and in a way bringing back the joy music generated back then.

What's bad is that no one knows where it's come from. After a certain number of years, copyright doesn't exist on certain songs. This leaves room for melodies, rhythms, lyrics and even full songs to be ripped off by artists.

To prove this I've collected some well-known pop tunes and shown you the original. Thanks to Sanj for helping me trace the original songs.

Kaoma - Lambada ... On The Floor - Jennifer Lopez ft Pitbull
All Around The World - ATC ... La La La - Auburn ft IYAZ
Another Day in Paradise - Phil Collins ... Moving Too Fast - Superfly Inc
Valerie - Steve Winwood ... Call On Me - Eric Prydz
The Way it is - Bruce Hornsby ... Changes - Tupac
Dr Beat - Gloria Estafan ... Dr Pressure - Miami Sound Machine ft Mylo
It’s My Life - Talk Talk ... It’s My Life - No Doubt

bonds baby comp turns nasty

The Bonds Baby Search competition has turned nasty after some babies were targets of malicious comments over their appearance.

Parents were stunned by the negative comments, some being "A child only a mother could love." and "Ugly duckinling."

The Bonds Comp facebook page has been flooded with complaints, parents saying that the competition is supposed to be fun.

Bonds also posted a warning: Bonds Baby Search is designed to be a fun event that celebrates that all of the participating babies are gorgeous in their own right. We will remove anyone from our page who comments negatively on a baby or demonstrates 'bullying'. It's simply not in the spirit of Bonds nor the competition. Please, let's keep this event positive for everyone.

Weird Things You Notice

I was sitting in the car the other day on the way home in traffic, casually thinking abotu the weird things that people do because that's just generally what you do.

Although it wasn't until a few days ago that this became more prominent over the upcoming days!

I come home from work and do the things that need to be done, chill for a bit, jump on the computer and read up about the world to see what i've missed.

Few interesting stories like $50 000 worth of lambs stolen from properties somewhere in Victoria, Sherlock worked that one out by the number of sheep dropping, we're all born the same.

Mannerisms, habits, what do you do that's weird? My macbook was licked because it felt cool, I keep chocolate in the freezer, steal chips and biscuits from the family because they purposely eat my food so i'm not happy, hold the knife and fork reversed, wrap four fingers around my pen when i'm writing..listen to my headphones in my mouth when i'm bored.

But this is plain old weird. An Egyptian father whose wife gave birth decided to name his daughter after the social networking site, Facebook.

Why you might ask? To honour the role of social media playing in the country's recent evolution where Facebook played a major part in bringing everybody together to organise protests in Egypt. Ridiculous, as Egypt had to bar Facebook to prevent state of anarchy, but how could you name your child such an idiotic name?

Following his brother and sister, I put dibs on Baby Bebo and Brother Myspace!

e-readers vs books

Change. Technological change. It's happening... from CDs to mp3 downloads, and with the invention of the iPad (which we originally thought was useless) a new thing called an "e-reader" has been developed. It's kinda like an iPad, but instead of having a lot of functions, its only use is for reading. You can download books on it, lots of them - a great alternative to lugging around hard cover books.

Is this technological advance too much for people to handle? I don't think its a big deal. Back in the day, people used to carve stories on walls. Books replaced that. Change happened. Now it's happening again, but this time, with an e-reader. I think everyone needs to realise that the internet and technology offers everything we need in a much more convenient way.

Although mp3 downloads may not be better than physical CDs, (since the CDs have a higher bit-rate our listeners tell us) what's the problem with an e-reader? It's not like the font is clearer in a hard copy text book. Plus, we can save paper! Saving the trees and environment.. its all positive. No longer will we have to lug text books to school or uni. Hundreds of books are now easily accessible on a light weight e-reader.

We want to know what you guys think, though. Click here to send us an email, or just hit us up on facebook.

We're Moving into a Digital Era Faster than Ever Before!

The physical CD is smooth, just works, you can't lose it unless you hide it from yourself? Buying a CD is like adding to your life, you put it on your shelf and support the artists you love.

Now we're heading into a digital age where physical is replaced by digital, so digital replaced the physical star - noticed you can't find singles anywhere It's slightly upsetting as now CDs are dying a slow death and it's about to blow the industry as a whole.

Don't get me wrong you still have the digital version on your computer that you can download... It's just not the same... I like physicals even though you can rack up a lot of debt over the years!

Here's the scary bit - the year before last, 28 million albums were bought physically, holla the love! Last year it hit 24 million, so that's a drop total of 4 million. Because compared to digital albums, that sold just under 3.5 million, so they’re catching up quite quickly.

But talking singles for a moment, this is where it becomes freaky - 24 million singles were bought digitally, 3 million physically.

It's left retailers to push singles off the shelves and make way for albums and other merchandise - and give it just a bit longer, you'll only be able to buy them from online CD retail giants - what do you reckon?

Pirating music is also about to be hit on the head (whats that thing, ahh the hammer)..

Major record labels are about to tag the team with Internet Service Providers to cull the piracy, but how far can they go?

is wrestling a girl okay?

A high school wrestler, Joel, was confronted with a difficult situation when one of the final matches required him to compete against a girl called Cassy.

Fighting, male against female... what do you think? The reason I ask is because Joel actually forfeited the match because he didn’t want to compete against a female.

What would you do in your situation? Is it wrong to fight against a girl in this kind of situation - a competition where the female gives consent?

The media doesn’t hesitate to heavily criticize male celebrities who have behaved violently on ANY level to a female. Take Chris Brown and Rihanna or Mel Gibson and his wife Oksana.

Is it possible that Joel could have been criticized for taking up the fight? In this day where the status of females are growing closer and closer to that of men's, could it be considered morally okay in the near future?

We want to know what you think, text YES if you think it’s okay or NO if you don’t to 0405 404 500. Or just comment us on facebook or email us!
