The star was double duped with Letterman by her Father, Michael Lohan, who wanted his daughter to be on the show hosting the Top Ten List if anyone watches David Letterman you’d be edging to hear the Top Tens each night – it’s hilarity squared.

The Mean Girls star and Letterman’s production company were mislead into believing she was to be on the show. But how can you not confirm with the girl herself is what I want to know!

"Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday's Late Show with David Letterman, as had been previously announced. We made a mistake," Tom Keaney, a spokesman for Letterman's Worldwide Pants production company, said in a statement after a writer for the CBS show tweeted about Lohan's appearance.

But where would the world be without twitter I say, she had this response lined up ready to fire away!

"I am NOT going to be doing David Letterman, I'm not sure how this happened, but I am sorry for the confusion ...," Lohan tweeted in response to the news.
